As our name suggests we are an organization of individuals with same feelings, opinions and disposition, working towards a single goal – DIGNITY IN LIFE!

Together, we stand for people who are stigmatized and marginalized due to their Gender and Sexuality across class, creed and age.

Samabhavana mainly deals in issues that are unspoken and stigmatized. While a whole lot of institutionalized efforts are made towards the economic, environmental, workplace and political wellness of the country, only meager efforts are directed towards the mental and social wellness of individuals.

Certain issues like child exploitation, gender inequality, child sexual abuse, domestic violence (on men, women, elderly and children), sexual harassment at work place (man to woman, woman to man, man to man, woman to woman), stigma towards same sex preferences, trafficking and forced sex work/prostitution of men, women and children are some issues that cut across classes in our country. They directly affect the emotional security and self esteem of an individual. The available data on these issues is just the tip of the iceberg. A whole lot is either lost or not documented. For a country, with the majority of its population below 45 years of age, unattended concerns like these mean a serious loss of young potential.

Samabhavana works towards enabling human potential by freeing people from the fetters of such unattended issues.
